Admissions Procedures for the 2026/27 School Year

ENROLMENT – 2026/27 School Year – Important dates as per Policy and Procedures
All applications to Junior Infants and the Special Classes (for All class groups) in Lucan CNS will ONLY be accepted from the 23/10/25 and the closing date for receipt of applications is the 14/11/25. Applications received after this date will be considered and processed as late applications in accordance with the school’s Admission Policy.
All transfer applications to Senior Infants, First Class, Second Class, Third Class, Fourth Class, Fifth Class or Sixth Class in Lucan CNS other than the Special Classes, will be accepted from the 21/11/25 and the closing date for receipt of applications is the 02/06/2026.

In line with the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018 and the Education (Welfare) Act 2000, we ask that you read our Admissions Policy in full to understand our enrolment procedures.

Our Autism classes are full for the 2025/26 school year with a waiting list in place.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that Lucan CNS is a Digital School.
Children from 2nd to 6th Class use a parent-bought, school-managed iPad from our IT partners Wriggle as an educational tool to enhance learning experiences. More information available at the link above. Please consider this when applying to enrol your child.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that as a multi-denominational school, Lucan CNS does not provide sacramental preparation (religion) classes for children of the Catholic faith which are required to make their First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Please consider this when enrolling your child. Our Patron programme at Lucan CNS is Goodness Me, Goodness You.
The local Parish (Church of Divine Mercy) arrange external religion classes each year for children of the Catholic faith (1st to 6th Class) whose parents wish for them to make their First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Registration opens each September.
